Sussex Group – Latest News
Owing to the latest “National Lockdown Decision” which has resulted in the closure of our meeting room the Sussex branch has been forced into cancelling the remainder of this year’s programme. During recent months we have spent many hours contacting members advising them that meetings are off or on so to avoid further confusion we have decided to hold our next meeting, hopefully, on Monday 11th January 2021. All being well Andrew Marshall’s talk on Britain’s railways in the 1980s will take place that evening.
We will then hold our AGM on February 8th which will be followed by the first selection of colour slides taken by our late Chairman, Mr Mike Stringer.
These meetings are of course subject to social distancing measures, including the wearing of face covering but sadly there will be no canteen facilities.
In the meantime I would like to wish everyone connected with the Southern Electric Group a Merry Christmas and a far better year in 2021.
Peter Jones (Branch Secretary)
