Hornby 2021 Range

The new range of model railway products from Hornby for 2021 was announced on Tuesday 5th January.

The only new item for Southern Electric modellers is a second version of a GBRf Class 73/9 electro-diesel locomotive.  R3911, 73965.  (R3910 73964 has recently been released.)  However, we recommend you inspect these models before purchase to see if they satisfy you.  They appear to be a Class 73/1 loco of Lima origin which has only been partially modified. There is nothing wrong with this approach.  Many “approximate” models have appeared over the years and in this case it is reflected in a significantly lower price which is good value for money.  Just so long as purchasers are aware the details are not totally accurate for a 73/9.  You get what you pay for!

That is all.  A remarkably cheap year from Hornby for specifically Southern Electric modellers!
