Five days later and into the new year, 377211worked the 13.19 from East Croydon to Watford Junction and is seen here at Factory Junction about taking the Down Ludgate Line.

Our intrepid photographer thinks Shepherds Bush is far too far north of the Thames so bails out there! One 29th December 377213 is about to depart north from the new station there. Note the narrow platform which lead to Network Rail delaying the opening of this station.

The platform indicator at Shepherds Bush (platform 2) showing for the southbound working a noticeable gap between West Brompton and Streatham Common stations. Like the on-train destination indicators these are notoriously difficult to photograph and this was the only readable picture out of many attempts! With the approaching 12.20 hrs to East Croydon just coming into sight the train's platform was suddenly altered requiring many passengers to rush across to platform 1 via the lengthy and convoluted footbridge.

On 2nd January 2009 377209 worked the 12.52 Watford Junction to East Croydon service and is seen here on the Down Atlantic Line approaching Wandsworth Road.
