Whither Wessies?

The Final Month with South West Trains

low view of 2505 at Havant The units are now a short way into their second leg of the day and u2405 is seen at the head of the train at Havant before heading up the Portsmouth Direct Line.

u2424 in pltaform 9 - Down Fast - at Clapham Junction seen distantly from the Brighton side of the station If the skies had been blue this shot taken at Clapham junction could have had an almost tropical look!  As u2405 and u2411 are approaching London u2424 is leaving London with the 10.05 Waterloo to Poole service.

u2412 through Eastleigh on the Up Fast Line u2412 is passing through Eastleigh on the Up Fast for the first time of the day with the 10.01 service from Poole.

Much further up the line and u2405 and u2411 are in the suburbs passing Earlsfield station.

u2505 + u2411 arriving at Clapham Junction ...and only a few minutes later coming to a stop in platform 7 (Up Platform Loop) at Clapham Junction.  Some enthusiasts (including the photographer) who were not able to get out earlier to take the Waterloo to Fratton and return working chose to join the train here to be assured of their seat on the next down working from Waterloo.
