11201 arrives at Horsted Keynes


onto the Ardingly branch headshunt

11201 was then drawn onto the formerly electrified Ardingly branch which acts as a headshunt for the south end of platform 1.

in its final position, final preparations begin

All that remains at the south end of platform 1 of the shunt is to uncouple locomotive number 65 and then for it to move the LSWR brake van, the Manning Wardle 0-6-0T locomotive Sharpthorn and the Wickham trolley in front of 11201.

on display at the south end of platform 1

Driving motor open third car 11201 of 4 Cor unit 3142 is now on display to the public.  It can be found at the south end of platform 1 of Horsted Keynes station of the Bluebell Railway.  It is in the position formerly occupied by the Carriage Exhibition coach, which pro-tem has been moved to the north end of platform 1. We look forward to meeting you there at weekends and on public holidays.
