4Cor Unit 3142 Introduction
4Cor 3142 is the Southern Electric Group's preserved electric multiple unit, built in 1938 for the Southern Railway. We also have a 5th Cor vehicle in our care.

Four vehicles forming a complete unit are based on the East Kent Railway where they are being actively restored and also run on selected days each year. The 5th vehicle is currently based on the Bluebell Railway as a static exhibit.

3142 Running Days
In 2012, DMBTO 11161 carried passengers for the first time in 30 years. In 2013 we hope to run 11161 and 11187 as a 2Cor on selected days at the East Kent Railway. Please check back in this section and in Live Rail for running days.
Help Restore 3142
We welcome volunteers to help with restoration of 3142 at the East Kent Railway. We also welcome all donations to help with the cost of restoring 3142 to fully operational condition.
