Brighton Belle on the Bluebell

As a part of Bluebell Railway 50th anniversary celebrations, Brighton Belle ‘Car 88’ from Unit 3051 has joined Bluebell resident ‘Car 82’ more affectionately known as Doris, at Horsted Keynes.

Carr 88 has recently had its body restoration completed at Ramparts of Derby. After the bluebell celebrations, it will leave to go to Barrow Hill Engine Shed for overhaul including the replacement of bogies/traction gear, control gear and braking system.
