East Grinstead Open Weekend

The Bluebell Railway will be opening their new station platform at East Grinstead on Saturday 4th September 2010.

The train will consist of Bluebell's own 4VEP unit number 3417 "Gordon Pettitt" hauled by a Class 73 electro diesel locomotive.

The first public train will depart at 10.10. This is for special ticket holders only. Subsequent trains will depart at 10 past the hour from 11.10 until 17.10. Tickets for the first service are only available in advance from the Sales and Information Office at Sheffield Park or by telephoning 01825 720800.

The opening ceremony will take place at 10.45 on Saturday.

A special train & bus to connect with the first train from East Grinstead will depart Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes as shown below.

On Sunday, shuttle trains will operate from East Grinstead to Imberhorne North every hour from 10.10 until 17.10.
