"4 Cor" PRESERVATION PROGRESS - LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

"4 Cor" Motor Coach 11161, Trailer Third 10096, and Trailer Composite 11825 were prepared for movement from St Leonards to Sheffield Park during January 2004. With the help of the Bluebell Railway, some rails on which the coaches could be stored at the Woodpax site were installed on Monday 9 February and the coaches moved between 10 and 12 February. This process was not without its difficulties but the job was eventually completed. We are grateful for the help of all those who assisted with this important task.

Part of the preparation had been covering all three coaches with heavy tarpaulins, but unfortunately it proved impractical for them to be transported with these in place. There is therefore any urgent need for the coaches to be recovered to protect them from the weather and assistance with this is vital. Any help with this, or with the ongoing restoration of motor coach 11201 which continues at St Leonards, will be very warmly welcomed.
