Slam's Final Months - Stewarts Lane

These pages are an unashamed wallow in nostalgia recalling and celebrating the final months of slam door unit operation on the former Southern Region!

In the distance, with mothballed Gatwick express stock (and an operation 456) is 3535.

A the time of these photographs the interior of one DTC of 3535 looks a bit like the Marie Celeste with commuters' clutter left lying where it was when the unit was withdrawn from its last working.

"I am sixteen going on seventeen...", well stored in road 16 on 17th November 2005 was 3490.
