Southern's Mk1 EMUs - the very last run
26
th November 2005

12 Vep approaching Clapham Junction for the last time Now on to the very last run proper!   Since the coming of the railways the purlieu of Clapham has resounded to the noise of train doors slamming. But after 26th November 2005, save for occasional locomotive hauled slam door charter stock, no more.  Until comparatively recently Clapham Junction was hot-bed of slam door activity. But now the last mainline Mk1 EMU service is captured approaching the Brighton side of Clapham Junction.

The drivers' diagrams were published for this working to be headcode 4 throughout.
