busy Bournemouth

Much hustle and bustle at Bournemouth, much of which - due to it being a beautiful summery hot sunny day -  was not due to the railtour!

spot the differences from 2 or 3 decades ago!

To the manor at Bournemouth born - almost.   This could be a scene from the 1970s or 1980s if it were not for the unit numbering, headlight, orange cantrail stripe, modern electrification flashes, aluminium arrows, lady with the mobile telephone, glass in the station's end screen and roof, SWT station signs, etc....however the retro treatment and continued running of 1497 (and 1498) are considerably appreciated.  Also the current magnificent condition of Bournemouth station proves that the "old days"  were not necessarily good.
