Southeastern News

Golden Jubilee unit no longer golden
On 3rd October 2008, its last day in service before modification, 375610 is trailing the already modified 375628 through Tonbridge with the 13:50 Dover to Charing Cross working

Southeastern's 375/6 units are currently undergoing a programme at Chart Leacon to modify their huckbolts. These are the bolts that hold the floor to the body sides so it is necessary to remove the lower body side panels to perform the work. The opportunity is also taken to modify the Southeastern livery by removing the silver-grey band carried on these panels. 375610, the unique Golden Jubilee unit with its lower band in gold, was scheduled into Chart Leacon on 6th October 2008 for its modifications. It is believed this unit will lose its unique livery during the process.

Southeastern Electrostar emerges in "stealth" livery
375613 and 375707 arrive at Tonbridge working 13.24 Charing Cross - Headcorn on 21st October 2007

Southeastern's 375613 went to Ilford on 31st August 2007 (departing 61 minutes late) for a re-paint. The unit returned south on 5th October in overall white with yellow doors, plus the unit number under the driver's window is in a different font. No "fade-out" grey vinyls, no markings and branding. It is now running in this condition.
