Medway Valley High Speed Service

On Monday 23rd May 2011 Southeastern introduced weekday peak High Speed services between St. Pancras International and Maidstone West. Mornings and evenings there are three workings in the peak flow direction and one contra. On 9th June Colin Price took a look at the evening peak on the Medway Valley line.

395002 passing Cuxton going back ECS 18+42 Maidstone West - St Pancras

395002 passing Cuxton going back ECS 18+42 Maidstone West - St Pancras. As it passed under the HS1 bridge ahead of it the 18:34 St. Pancras International to Bruxelles passed over the top.

This was a busy time at Cuxton as a couple of minutes later 395013 came the other way on its way to Maidstone West (18:14 ex St. Pancras International) and 3020, leading the 17:59 Bruxelles to St. Pancras International, went over the top as that passed too.
