3CIG overhauls at Chart Leacon complete
![]() |
Upon completion of its overhaul, it was originally planned that 1497 would be taken back to Wimbledon on Friday 15th June. However, absence of a driver trained to work on EDLs caused a cancellation of the move until the afternoon of Tuesday 19th. This time Wimbledon was only used as an intermediate point in that the formation reversed in the station's platform 9 before heading south west to Bournemouth T&RSMD, pausing for the evening peak at Woking.
