 |
Blackfriars (Network Rail) station was closed between 20th November 2010 and 16th January 2011, with trains passing through for the most part, to enable a major stage of the station's redevelopment to be implemented. Namely the Thameslink through lines to be moved to the eastern side of the bridge (formely the site of the terminal platforms) and for the new platforms 1 and 2, now extending all the way across the bridge, to be introduced to service, albeit in a partially complete state.
