Notice telling drivers to lower the pantograph

Farringdon is the station where trains usually changeover between 750V dc conductor rail and 25kV ac catenary line pickup (although the catenary extends south to City Thameslink station), so this notice at the south end of the extended platform is an important reminder.

Old passageway recycled

Old "features" such as this passageway under Cowcross Street have been used to provide additional access between the original platforms and the extensions.
