2024 AGM


NOTICE is hereby given that the fifty-fourth Annual General Meeting of the Southern Electric Group will be held on Saturday 1st June 2024 commencing at 14.00.  The location is Brookvale Village Hall, Lower Brook Street, Basingstoke RG21 7RP.  The venue is about a quarter-mile from Basingstoke Railway Station via Alençon Link and Churchill Way West.  Very limited on-site free parking is available.  Alternative parking is available in Basingstoke town centre car parks nearby at cost.

Our meeting is in the Main Hall on the ground floor which has access to toilets and kitchen. Please note that as this is a local community centre there may be other events taking place within the building at the same time.

This meeting will be held simultaneously online and in person.  Will members wishing to attend online please ensure that they are logged into the virtual waiting room by 13.55 as it will be necessary to note names and membership numbers for verification purposes.  Online access will be available from 13.45.

Nominations may also be made in writing to the General Secretary at the address inside the rear cover of this magazine and to arrive no later than Friday 24th May. These must contain the consent of the nominee and signatures of nominee, proposer and seconder. Nominations will also be accepted in person (but not via internet link) at the AGM in accordance with our Constitution.

PRESENTATION : Following the formal business and a short refreshment break Grahame Gleave, Chairman of the Suburban Electric Railway Association will lead a presentation to be confirmed.  The day will conclude by 16.30.  This is slightly earlier than usual as the venue has to be cleared to make way for another event.
