Hornby Rail 200 Javelin

Hornby’s Rail 200 Class 395015 has been available for a little time now.  It was originally announced with graphics illustrating a Class 395 unit under red tarpaulins.  In the absence of the real unit not appearing in its Rail 200 guise prospective puchasers did not know exactly what they would be getting and I know I am not alone in not placing an order until I had seen an illustration of the model “unwrapped”.  Additionally many publicity illustrations of models these days are digital renders and not of the actual model.  So for clarity, here are two pictures of my model on my layout.

The six car unit consists of:

R30442 Rail 200 395015 4 car pack DTPSO-MSO-MSO-DTPSO

R40447 Rail 200 395015 additional 2 car pack to make up the full unit MSO-MSO

Commonly available discount prices for these are in the region of R30442 £264 and R40447 £106.
